TRAINING, IMPROVEMENT TRAINING FOR TEACHER OF ENGINEERING

I. INTRODUCTION

- Recently, the development of science – technology in general and information technology in particular, their application changes our living a lot. Education and training is not exception. IT has been changing traditional teaching method that exists in decades.
- The concern about changing, choosing new methods going with society development is solved. Multimedia teaching is not new, but with the help of computer, product of IT, this method has more advantages than other, especially in vocational training. It can replace other equipment such as listening, watching, emulating, processing information fast, correctly, computer makes a revolution in training.
- In vocational school, computer is object to study, not a real means to study yet. Most of the teachers are embarrassment because they do not know how to use computer in teaching and special work more effectively. To meet this need, we can annually provide some process to train and improve profession skill for teacher of engineering.
- Apart from basic content, the educational software for this training, lecturers will help teachers; technicians get more experience, technique, skill and new idea in developing modern teaching means basing on computer and internet.

II. TRAINING TECHNOLOGY, METHOD TO IMPROVE TEACHING EQUIPMENT

1. TEACHING EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENT (BASIC)

1.1. CONTENT

- Basic theory: introduce new training tendency, technology, method in developed countries, basic features of vocational training in Viet Nam, multimedia teaching methods.
- Technique- practice: instruct how to use office equipment information such as Scanner, Digital Camera, Internet… to collect information, design lesson plan
- Instruct using PowerPoint XP, Projector, Overhead to design and carry out electronic lesson on computer.
- Instruct the way to organize, carry out and perform by new teaching equipment.

1.2. PROGRAMME DISTRIBUTION

65 periods (7 days)

2. TEACHING EQUIPMENT IMPROVEMENT (UPPER LEVER)
 
2.1. CONTENT


- Basic theory: introduce modularization in vocational training, frame of program, priority program, criteria in vocational training, role of multi- purpose teaching equipment, distance education.
- Technique- practice: instruct how to look for, explore and use information on internet effectively.
- Design professional teaching model, use 3D technology with Macromedia Flash MX, PowerPoint XP, Photoshop, CorelDraw and Internet.
- Use internet to interact about vocational training from far distance

2.2. PROGRAMME DISTRIBUTION

80 periods (10 days)

III. TRAINING CONNTENT TO IMPROVE PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE FOR TEACHER OF ELECTRICAL TECHNIQUE AND ELECTRONIC FIELD

1. INTRODUCTION:

Today, the quickly development in the field of electric-electronic, design and emulation electrical and electronic circuit by specialized software are rolling out and applying extensively and effectively in vocational school. These software are called EDA (Electronic Design Automation). Electronic Workbench is one of the most famous software in the field of design and emulating electrical and electronic circuit. Electronic Workbench is used by vocational teacher to teach and practice electric, electronic circuit as a teaching equipment because of its vivid in emulating. In Vietnam, Electronic Workbench 5.12 is being in use in vocational school in northern. Electronic Workbench 5.12 is suitable for teachers and students in vocational school and electronic technicians due to simple design, a few of action, easy to use and not too professional.

2. ELECTRONIC DESIGN AUTOMATION (BASIC)

2.1. CONTENT
- Basic theory: Digital Electronic Basic
- Introduce some common electronic circuit: basic circuit, counter, encoder, decoder, comparator, arithmetic unit, channel selector, pulse transmitter, timer.
- Technique- practice: design and emulate with Electronic WorkBench 5.12.
- Instruct how to use Electronic ench 5.12 as a teaching equipment.

2.2. PROGRAMME DISTRIBUTION (5 days)

Teachers of electrical technique, dynamic and automobile electronic field, can use computer.

3. ELECTRONIC DESIGN AUTOMATION (EDA) (UPPER LEVEL)

3.1. CONTENT

- Basic theory: introduce technique base, collect and analyze data and automatic control, sensor, ADC, DAC, relay controller, step motor controller, microprocessor.
- Technique- practice: draw and design professional printed circuit with Protel

3.2. PROGRAMME DISTRIBUTION

48 periods (6 days)

3.3. STUDENTS

Teachers of electrical technique, dynamic and automobile electronic field, can use office computer or good certificate of basic class

4. OTHER LONG TERM CLASS

• multimedia programming with Visual basic 6.0
(time of training: 15 days)

• controlling programming with micro processing 89HC51, PIC16 use C, Pascal language
time of training: 30 days)

• measuring technique and controlling by computer
(time of training: 60 days)

• designing digital electronic circuit in measuring and controlling by computer
(time of training: 60 days)

• Ignition system in automobile

• On-board diagnosis 2nd generation (OBD-II)

Training by engine diagnosis equipment OBD-II SCANTOOL

CLASS PREPARATION

• 15 students (teachers of vocational schools)
• 16 computers: 15 students + teacher
• Install as configuration: + Operating system WINDOWS XP + software : MS-OFFICE XP + 16 soft disk drive (A) + 1 CD disk drive for teacher + Sound card + 2 computer loud speaker + LAN network (not compulsory)
• 1 screen for Projector
• 1 Internet cable
• Big classroom, air- condition and window curtain
• 1 plug 220V – closed to teacher computer
